On August 26, 2020, Bernard Kanahele Makuaole III passed away at the age of 17, after succumbing to his injuries at UCLA Medical Center, due to a tragic car accident in Malibu Canyon.
Bernard was born on November 30, 2002, to a loving family. He was the firstborn of triplets and he is survived by his parents Bernard K. Makuaole Jr. & Jill L. Makuaole, his siblings Kari Kerr, Hayley Warren (Brandon), Mason Makuaole, & Mckenzie Makuaole, and his loving Grandparents Bernard & Sandra Makuaole Sr., Les & Gloria Ricker, and Kelly Plunkett.
Bernard was a recent graduate of ACE Charter High School in the class of 2020, he planned to attend 2 years of community college and from there, join the Military. Bernard planned to use his military credit to become an Orthodontist and had recently been looking into an internship with a local dentist office.
Bernard was known to all as a loving, kind, and funny person who was always there for those who needed him. He loved his family and friends immensely, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He found joy in planning and attending local punk shows, going for long drives, working, wearing crazy socks, playing pranks on his family, and above all, fixing and modifying his car with his friend Dave.
Bernard is loved by many and will be truly missed. Due to COVID-19, private services will be held on Tuesday, September 22 at 5 pm. All are welcomed to join through a private live video link found on https://www.reardonfh.com/obituary/Bernard-MakuaoleIII.
We ask that those in attendance whether it be in person or via video wear crazy socks in memory of Bernard.
