Benigno Arrieta Obituary

Benigno "Benny" Albert Arrieta, 60 of Santa Maria passed away at home on Thursday July 10, 2014 after a courageous five year battle with stage III Multiple Myeloma cancer. Benny was born in Oxnard, CA and went to Hueneme High School.
He served in the U.S. Army, worked at Port Hueneme Naval base, 3M Company, and was a general contractor for approximately 30 years. He met his beloved wife Candace Lonelli in Santa Maria and were married, then lived in N.M. and returning to their family in California in 2005. Benny loved to travel , he
loved hunting, playing cards, family gatherings and bbq's. Benny had a big heart, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met, there wasn't a stranger he met that didn't become his friend. He had a heart of gold and saw the good in everyone. Benny is preceded in death by parents Benigno and Ester Arrieta, sister; Maria Rojas and Dolores Perez, brother; Guadalupe Arrieta, Mother in law; Betty "granny" Lonelli, and brother in law Trieste "hippy" Lonelli.
Benny is survived by his beloved wife Candace Lonelli Arrieta and their faithful companions Brandi Lynn and Kloie Rose, sisters; Alicia and Cuco Romero, Cruz Torres, Bertha Arrieta, Olga and Lee Robles, daughter; Tina Atkinson and two granddaughters of TN, step son Marshall Perez of Moorpark, 17 nieces and 13 nephews , many great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Many thanks to his doctors and cancer team, Mission Hope Cancer Center, Dr. Dichmann and Dr. Ketting were very caring and treated Benny for 5 years. A viewing will be held on Thursday July 17, 2014 from 6- 8 pm . Services will be held on Friday July 18, 2014 at the Reardon Funeral Home 511 North A street Oxnard, CA 93030. A celebration of Benny's life will be held after the services at the Moose Club in Oxnard, CA. Flowers can be sent to Reardon Funeral Home or donations in Benigno Arrieta can be sent to Mission Hope Cancer Center 1325 East Church street Santa Maria , CA 93454.
