Anthony Ixta, 27, of Fillmore, passed away on July 25, 2024. He was born on March 23, 1997 to Alma Delia and Ignacio Ixta in Ventura and grew up in a loving home surrounded by his 3 older brothers and parents.

Anthony played football growing up and he enjoyed helping his dad out in church. He was an active member of the youth group at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Arizona where he volunteered as a youth leader and as a dj for special church events. 

In 2016, Anthony met Jade and they had a beautiful baby boy in February 2017 who they named Adrian Refugio Ixta.

Anthony knew how to be a true friend. His qualities of loyalty, kindness, caring, loving and honesty made him a very unique human being. He loved to help people without expecting anything in return. He always kept it real, therefore he created strong and lasting friendships everywhere he went.

Adrian, his only son was his entire world. His son gave him strength during the rough times of his life and laughter and joy all of the time.  Anthony loved his family and would make a point to tell them that he loved and appreciated them as often as possible, sometimes with a hug but most frequently with a text or a nickname. He had a gift for making friends easily and making all friends feel like his best friend.

He is survived by parents, Alma and Ignacio Ixta who raised him with unconditional faith, love and support; brothers, Ignacio Ixta, Jr., Eric Ixta and Joey Ixta whose memories, adventures, inside jokes and nicknames will hold a special places in their hearts forever; his beloved son Adrian R. Ixta, maternal grandparents, Susana and Jose Gutierrez, his nieces and nephews, Andrew, Prince, Bella, Eric Jr., Mateo, and Melany as well as many aunts and uncles and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Manuel Ixta and Rosalia Cortez who are waiting for him at the Door to Heaven.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 2 at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 North A St., Oxnard. Rosary will begin at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 427 North Oak St., Santa Paula. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, Oxnard.
