Angie Corondao Obituary

Angie Lamas Coronado died January 1, 2024 at the age of 78. She was born July 14,1945 in San Jose and was a lifelong resident of Oxnard/EL Rio.

Angie was a homemaker, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #232 for 35 years and enjoyed playing bingo and visiting casinos.

Our beloved mother was and forever will be the “Greatest and Best Mom” icon.  She was full of love and compassion for all who came into her life.  Anyone who knew her would say she was strong, feisty, loving, caring, forgiving, good-hearted and a very proud lady.  Her family was her fortune and her legacy.  Mom’s grandkids would say, “She was the BEST gram in the world.”

You would never see Angie at the Eagles, bingo or family parties without her eyelashes and earrings.  She was always dressed to impress.  Mom’s eyes would sparkle when her grandkids and great-grandchildren were teasing and playing with her.  She was known for popping wheelies in her wheelchair.

Angie is survived by Juan Coronado; children, her “pride and joy”: Louie Lopez, Jesus Soto (Mouna), Angela Creighton (John), Francina Radel (Dan), Johnny boy Coronado (Luzy), Monica Hernandez (Leo), Sonia Coronado; sisters: Polly Garcia, Gloria lamas, and Rosemary Pena; grandchildren who were each and all “her favorite ones”:  Louie Lopez Jr., Tiffany Soto, Brittany Soto, Alexy Soto, Kristen Cole, Shon Pallan, Johnny Coronado Jr., Matthew Soto, Samantha Markarian, Nico Hernandez, Gilbert Lopez, Valerie Garcia, Andrea Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Emilio Hernandez, Vincent Coronado, Destiny Lopez, Esperanza “Hopie” Radel, Samuel Coronado, CJ Coronado and their spouses; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mom, you will forever be missed by all who loved and cherished you. Our heavenly angel, watch over us, guide us, protect us.  We will always stick together, take care of each other, love each other, and strive to be as great as you. Rest In Peace mom, grams, we love you and you will live forever in our hearts and memories.
