"How do you talk about the most phenomenal loving woman, you will forever miss?" - daughter, JonQuill

Angellica A. Clarke, lovingly known as Ms. Clarke, Angie, or simply Ang, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, with her daughter by her side, just days before her 60th birthday. Born in Trinidad on May 5, 1965, to Adrian and Patricia Clarke. Angellica moved to Ventura County at the age of 16, where she would build a beautiful life and call Oxnard her home for most of her years.

A dedicated mother, Angellica is survived by her beloved daughter JonQuill Henry and preceded in death of her son Jonathan Clarke. Her children were the center of her world and everyone knew it. Her love for them was boundless and evident in every word, action, and quiet sacrifice. She made sure they never doubted how deeply they were loved and cared for.

Angellica devoted 32 years of her life to serving her community as a Social Worker with the Ventura County Human Services Agency. Her compassion, strength, and unwavering sense of duty made a lasting impact on the lives of countless families.Outside of work, Angellica was a true lover of stories and her lord almighty, Jehovah. Her shelves were lined with books, and her heart belonged to the worlds of science fiction, fantasy, action, and horror. She enjoyed live music and listening to her 90's RnB. Whether she was revisiting Harry Potter, watching Star Trek, or unapologetically enjoying Twilight, she embraced the magic and wonder of every tale. Angellica found joy in the pages of a good book or a late-night movie marathon. Angellica was a strong competitor in board games such as Scrabble, Dominos, and Spades. From family nights, to truly enjoying her years participating in Ventura County's Corporate Games, she remained humble when bringing home numerous gold medals.

Angellica was not someone anyone could ever forget. She was covered in Angel's kisses, (freckles) and known to be an angel to some. Her aura was infectious and you felt comfort being in her space. Her love radiated a room with a slight smile or a hug of care.

Angellica’s legacy lives on in the strength and kindness of her daughter, as well as the community she served. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
