Virginia M. Escoto

Virginia M. Escoto passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Sunday, September 2nd, she was 79. Virginia was born on August 15, 1939 and was a lifelong resident of Oxnard, having grown up in El Rio. As a young woman, she worked picking walnuts at the chilidia and bean packing house. 

Virginia met Edward V. Escoto and on September 19th, 1960 they were married. Together they had 3 children; John, Karen and Eddie Jr. She became a homemaker raising her kids and grandkids. They were married 50 years until the passing of Edward in 2010. She loved being around all her children teaching us all values and our manner's. Always say I Love You, beginning and ending each visit with a hug.

She loved her Lakers and watching Golden State and the Angels. Holidays will never be the same without her cooking. Tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, turkey and stuffing, everything! She left her family with beautiful memories and will be dearly missed. We Love You Mom/ Grandma!

Virginia is survived by her children; John, Karen, Eddie, Linda, Elaine, Lorraine, Jimmy, Davis, Carlos, Richard, Albert, grandchildren; Sonia, Karen, Susana, Liliana, Elmer, Lionel, Adriana, Audrey, Richard, Alexis, Fidel, Maribel, Joseph, Diana, Reyna, Ilene, Violet, Ruth, Edward, Bruno, Devon, John Dillion, Cheyenne, Halle, great-great-grandchild Abigail, life partner Henry Castelan along with numerous nieces and nephews.
