Veronica Ida Wright

Veronica Ida (Mason) Wright of Oxnard, CA passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Maywood Acres Healthcare Oxnard from a long illness. 

Veronica was born January 30, 1940 in Honolulu, HI to George Kahalepiula Mason and Sylvia Ahana Mason. In 1955, her family moved to San Diego, CA. She graduated from Mission Bay High School in 1958. On January 24, 1959 she married Benjamin Kawehionalani Wright, Sr in San Diego. They moved to Oxnard in 1960. Veronica was a homemaker and she was also employed by Pleasant Valley Convalescent Hospital in Oxnard as a CNA from 1972 to 1977 and Raleigh Hills Hospital Oxnard as a Medical Records Mgr from 1980 to 1984. Veronica's hobbies were cooking, reading, Disneyland and a love for cats & dogs. 

Veronica is survived by her daughters, Maxine Wright (Pili Christiansen) of Port Hueneme, Sylvia Edgar (Lowell Edgar) of Ventura, Maryann Wright (Bobbi Perio) of Las Vegas, Rose Kanamu (Scott Varner) of Camarillo, Gina Valles (Bobby Valles) of Oxnard and son, Ben Wright Jr (Espi Wright) of Santa Paula; grandchildren, Kea Kanamu, Nani Edgar, Charley Menendez, Jade Wright, Makoa Wright, Justin Valles and Kaitlyn Valles; living siblings, brothers Leroy Mason of Pomona, Gordon Mason of Las Vegas & Lloyd Sevits of Oregon and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings, sister Mona Mason and brother Charles Mason, and her grandchild Mapuana Kanamu.
