Stephen Paul Mitchell

Stephen Paul Mitchell, 63 of Thousand Oaks, CA., passed away peacefully on May 25, 2018 after a long battle with Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). Stephen was born on December 24, 1954, a Christmas Eve baby, in Joplin, Missouri but for the last 17 years he has called Ventura County his home. He worked as a general contractor for over 30 years.

Stephen loved being outdoors. He loved nature, camping, fishing, BBQing, traveling and just all around loving life. When he wasn’t outdoors Stephen loved to watch cartoons with his daughter Hannah, loved playing card games and board games, cooking and reading.

Stephen is survived by his wife Moira (Bevan) Mitchell, daughter Hannah Louise Mitchell, sisters Judith Ann Saxena (Jay), Peggy Lee Gonzales (Larry) and Jacqueline Marie Hochschild all of Denver Colorado along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers please make a donation in Stephen’s name to one of the two organizations to help the treatment and cure of PSP.
