Joseph Manuel Santoyo was born on April 16, 1995 in Oxnard, California to Manuel and Alice Santoyo of Oxnard, California. Joseph walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 2, 2015 at the age of 20. Joseph was preceded in death by his great grandparents Victor and Helen Cano of Golden Valley, Arizona and Ted and Lillian Santoyo of Santa Paula, California.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Manuel and Alice Santoyo of Oxnard, brother Jonathan Corpus, sister Janessa Santoyo, Fiancé Aries Castillo Garcia, infant son Noah Joseph Santoyo, grandparents Rachel Cano Corpus of Oxnard, California, Florencio Corpus of Euless, Texas, Kathy Santoyo of Oxnard, California, Manuel Santoyo Sr. of Santa Paula, California, Godmothers Kathy Cano of Oxnard, California, and Yvette and (Chad) Wigert of Concord, California, Uncle Larry Corpus of Oxnard, Uncle Michael Santoyo of Santa Paula and Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Joseph attended the Rio School District and is a High School graduate of the Oxnard Union High School District.

Growing up Joseph enjoyed spending summers with his cousins in Golden Valley, AZ. At Great Grandma and Grandpas house racing on go carts, going to the Colorado river in Laughlin, NV. Where he loved to ride the Jet Ski, swim and BBQ with his family on the river. Joseph loved going to the Grand Canyon Caverns to explore, go horseback riding and fishing every trip at Sonic.

In 2012, Joseph proudly attended California National Guard Grizzly Youth Academy where he was specifically selected to march with the 2nd Platoon Honor Guard and was a distinguished Student of the Month.

Joseph was an avid lover of sports he enjoyed playing baseball, soccer and High School Football. Joseph worked many hard working jobs including construction, a clerk at the County of Ventura and had a great passion for cooking. Joseph loved to go hiking and to be at the beach. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Angels. Joseph was an avid San Diego Chargers fan and one of the greatest joys was to attend games at Qualcomm Stadium with his Dad.

We take great comfort in knowing that Joseph learned many scriptures and teachings of The Lord while being baptized at Calvary Chapel in Oxnard and received the Sacrament of Confirmation at Santa Clara Church. Joseph had many spiritual mentors that touched his life. Joseph always had a tremendous love for all of his family and was looking forward to caring and raising his baby boy Noah.

Joseph will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call a son, grandson and friend. His service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Reardon Funeral Home of Oxnard, CA. Rev. Annette Sula-Goff of New Hope Fellowship will Officiate the service.
