Mont L. Burrup

Mont L Burrup, 82, former long-time resident of the Washington DC area, passed away in Ventura, CA on Saturday December the 8th. Born in Pocatello Idaho to Leslie & Hazel, the oldest of 7 children. He married Patricia Ann Jones on March 19, 1962. He graduated from Stevens-Henagers Business College, the University of Utah in 1962 and from George Washington University Law School in 1967. He worked at the Interstate Commerce Commission from 1963 until his retirement in 1994. In retirement he dedicated himself to helping reunite people with their unclaimed property, held in government trusts, about which the Washington Post wrote an article on 1/21/2003. He is survived by his wife, 4 children, 10 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren.
