Maria De Jesus Godina

Mary Godina, 88 of Oxnard, passed away at St. John’s Hospital on Friday, February 22, 2019 after a brief illness.  She was born on December 25, 1930 in Oxnard, CA to Reyes Godina and Felicitas Yslas.  She was a resident of Oxnard for 52 years and resided in San Jose, CA for 36 years.  Mary worked for many years in the food and hotel industry until she retired in 1992.  She then came home from San Jose to become her Mother’s caregiver.

Mary is survived by her sister Dolores Gonzalez and her brother Jess Yslas.  She is preceded in death by her father Reyes Godina, her mother Felicitas Yslas, her brothers John Godina, Vincent Godina, Manuel Godina, Pedro Godina and Roman Yslas, and her sister Rosario Godina.

A Rosary will be held for Mary on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2pm, viewing is from 1pm to 5pm at Reardon Funeral Home located at 511 North A St. Oxnard. The mass will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 10am at Santa Clara Church with interment to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
