It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, & grandpa at the age of 85. Joe was called to be with our Lord on 10/19/2018 as the result of a brain tumor and died peacefully surrounded by his family.

Joe was born in Oxnard on May 25, 1933, and after graduating from Oxnard High School, he entered the US Air Force during the Korean war and served most of his duty in Europe. While stationed in England, Joe played softball for the base team traveling throughout Europe which were some of the happiest times of his life.

Upon returning from overseas, Joe married his high school sweetheart, Ofelia, where they had six children, and twelve grandchildren. Joe started his career working for Pepsi as a delivery truck driver, then moved into the beer business working for a few local beer distributors. After years of hard but satisfying work as a delivery truck driver, Joe then moved into sales where he eventually became a sales manager before retiring.

Joe's most satisfying experience was his immediate and extended family sharing many gatherings, bbq's, reunions, and parties together. Being the giving person that he is, Joe spent much of his retirement years helping Ofelia provide care for his in-laws and other family members.

Joe was a lifelong member of St Anthony's Catholic Church in Oxnard where he spent many years as a Eucharistic Minister with Ofelia, and together, they developed many lasting relationships with other church members and priests. Joe was also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus sharing many memories with his brothers in arms at the local Chapter.

Joe is survived by his wife Ofelia, sons Nick (Jackie), Rick (Richelle), Joe (Michele), Mark (Karen), Michael, and daughter Linda, along with twelve grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
