Guadalupe Irene (Puga) Sandoval entered into heaven on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 after a seven-year battle with cancer. Born Angelina Irene Puga on January 15, 1948, in Ventura, California, she was baptized Guadalupe Irene Puga on August 29, 1948, and was known as Lupe.
She is survived by her husband Daniel G. Sandoval. Children Irene (Edward) Mendez, Steve (Regina) Balades, Tammie Balades, Carmen (Tony) Valadez, Jaime Sandoval, Mary (Alfred) Lujan, Johnny Calderon, Malena Solis as well as brother Joe (Nancy) Puga, sisters Becky Navarro, Bertha (Ralph) Jacquez all of whom reside in Ventura and Riverside counties.
Grandchildren: Jacob, Monique, Amanda, Adam, Brandee, Kandace, Daniel, Denise, Alex, Patrick, Elissa, Jordan, Izabella, Christopher, Nadia, Tony, Melanie, and numerous neighborhood grandchildren who called her Mama Lupe.
Preceded in death by parents Donaciano and Francisca Puga; brothers Donaciano Puga Jr, Raúl Puga, Jesús Puga, Antonio Puga; sisters  Mary Cornejo Puga, and Petra Puga.
Lupe had many jobs before retiring as a homemaker to take care of her grandchildren including the neighborhood children. Lupe also taught Catechism classes at Our Lady of Guadalupe church.
She was a generous, caring, and loving woman. She opened her heart and home and gave unconditional love expecting nothing in return. Not only would she open her home, but she would also make sure anyone she came in contact with was fed. Her kitchen was always open to those in need.
She will be remembered by her kindness and her legacy will live in the hearts of those who were touched by her love.
