Dorothy "Dottie" Lucille Kuklenski, 91, of Oxnard, California passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018 with her son, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter by her side.

Dottie was born on October 19, 1927 in Wyandotte County, Kansas City, Kansas to Polish immigrants, John and Edith Stypa. She married Robert Kuklenski on May 9, 1949 in Kansas City and moved to Oxnard in 1961 where they remained. She worked as a bookkeeper most of her life, retiring from CBC Federal Credit Union in Port Hueneme. Dottie truly lived life to the fullest by enjoying the simple pleasures such as shopping at the Port Hueneme Exchange and Commissary, regularly participating in Bone Builder classes, frequenting Chumash Casino, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a big supporter of Santa Clara Catholic Church and enjoyed her time there as a Eucharistic Minister. Dottie also devoted countless hours creating crafts for the annual holiday boutique for the Sisters Servants of Mary.

Dottie is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Robert Kuklenski; parents, John and Edith Stypa; sister, Genevieve Stypa; and son, Kevin Kuklenski.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, John Kuklenski and wife Janet, Robert Kuklenski Jr. and wife Lisa; sisters, Josephine Jaremko and Catherine Locke; grandchildren, Derek Kuklenski, Matthew Kuklenski, Kelly Severson, Kim Kuklenski, Stephen Kuklenski, Jeremy Kuklenski, Joshua Kuklenski; great-grandchildren, Anthony Acosta, Leila Kuklenski, Brayden Severson, Ava Lara, Xander Kuklenski; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 10th at 5:00PM at Reardon Funeral Home in Oxnard (511 North "A" St); with a Rosary at 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11th at 12:00PM at Santa Clara Catholic Church in Oxnard (323 South "E" St). Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard (2370 North "H" St). Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Arrangements by Reardon Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Mary Health of the Sick; 2929 Theresa Drive, Newbury Park, CA 91320. The family of Dottie Kuklenski wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the doctors, nurses, nuns, and caregivers at Mary Health of the Sick.

We are all reminded that in life and death, we remain "one body in Christ".
