Diana Alvara Conner

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diana Alvara Connor on February 10, 2019. Diana was born December 17, 1962 at St. Johns Hospital in Oxnard to her parents Mary(Solis) and Elpidio Alvara, and was a life-long resident of Oxnard. She attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School and Hueneme High School, class of 1981. Diana was preceded in death by her mother Mary and older brother Reuben. 

Diana was a long-time retail clerk who spent many years working in the grocery business at Mayfair and Lucky markets, and later as a home care nurse known for her caring demeanor and strong personality. She enjoyed traveling, attending concerts, cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and pampering her beloved chihuahua Prince-Blue. 

Diana’s greatest pride and joy were her beloved sons, Jarred and Casey, supporting and cheering them on wherever their endeavors may have taken them. She especially enjoyed watching them play sports and was their biggest fan. She was a loving mother who’s love for life and delicious cooking will always be remembered. She adored her grandchildren, Mason and Ylana Rodriguez, with all her heart. 

Diana leaves behind to treasure her memory: husband Lyle Connor, father Elpidio, sons Jarred and Casey, grandchildren Mason and Ylana, sister Rosie, brother David, Goddaughter Diana Perez, nephew Joe Perez, ex-husband Jeff Rodriguez, and numerous other family members. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

A memorial service honoring Diana’s life will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Reardon Funeral Home in Oxnard.
