David Masaki Sasaki

On the evening of June 13th, 2018, the dearly beloved David Masaki Sasaki, was called home to be with the Lord, at the young age of 47 in Oxnard, the same city where he was born on December 4th, 1970. 

David lived in Ventura County all his life and contributed to the community he treasured by cultivating the land for 20 years, producing the most radiant plants, and sharing them with the world. He was the exceptionally proud owner and operator of Sasaki Nursery.

When he wasn't working tirelessly at the nursery you would find him enjoying the more peaceful and relaxing activities life offers such as fishing, hunting, and making memories with loved ones. Any spare time he had David would fire up the grill and begin to cook for his family and friends. Cooking was his second most heartfelt passion. He marveled at how meals could bring people together and, more than anything, he wanted to be surrounded by the people he loved most.

David is survived by his loving wife Christine, of 24 years, son Devyn, daughter Kameko and youngest son Kenji, as well as his grandmother Sachiko Sasaki, mother Jayne Dryer, father Fumio Sasaki, siblings Darrin Sasaki, Danielle Burrus, Denise Ortega and their families. He will be greatly missed by all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and the many friends he considered to be his family, he will live forever in our hearts.
