Betty A. Hardy

Betty Hardy Mitobe, of Port Hueneme, CA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 19, 2018 at the age of 88 after a prolonged illness. Betty was born on October 11, 1929, in Longview, WA, and had been a resident of Ventura County for the past 50 years after moving here from Portland, OR.

Betty worked for PTI Technologies as a shift supervisor in the aviation/aerospace industry for 20 years until her retirement in 1994. She was a devoted member of New Life Community Church. She loved cooking, dancing, singing, traveling, and especially loved spending time with her family. She was well loved by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, James Mitobe. She is also survived by her children, Sandy Manning (Tom), George Hardy (Gerrie), Scott Hardy, Jeffrey Hardy (Tammy) in addition to her 7 grandchildren, Kevin, Mark, Dawna, Denise, Jennifer, Matthew and Britni. She also is survived by her 13 great-grandchildren, Brittani, Meadow, Kaleb, Chet, George, Morgan, Avery, Aliah, Ian, Trinity, Elizabeth, Savannah and Naomi.

Betty was preceded in death by her first husband Chet Hardy in 1992 and her twin sister Beverly Roesch in 2012.
