Anita Clara Chacon Gonzales

Anita Clara Chacon Gonzales, 68, loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister passed away May 28th, 2018 of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia with her family by her side. She was born June 19, 1949 and was a long time resident of Oxnard. In 2011, she retired from Hueneme School District and moved to Laughlin, Nevada.  She enjoyed cooking and was known to many as the Tamale lady, having yard sales, spending time with family and her grandchildren, drinking her tequila, traveling and going to the casino.

Anita is survived by her 6 children: Frank Gonzales, Renee (Mike) Urias, David (Monique) Gonzales, Jason Gonzales,  Rachel Maestas and Ernie Contreras, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren along with her siblings Tony (Dee) Maestas, Mary Solis, Rita Amaro, Benny Garcia, Maryann Ramos , Inez Tafoya and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her Mother Millie Chacon, Brothers Gilbert Garcia, Felix Garcia, John Maestas, Sister Flora Castro and Grandson Matthew Gonzales. Anita will remain in our thoughts and hearts and is greatly missed by her Family and Friends. 

Anita chose to donate her body to science. Her family will have a Celebration of Life on Sunday July 8th, 2018 from 1-3pm@ Reardons Mortuary 511 North A Street Oxnard.
