Alfredo V. Carrizales

Alfredo V Carrizales, was called upon by our Lord on March 5, 2018, he went peacefully surrounded by family in the comfort of his home. Alfredo was born in Pearsall, Texas on February 5, 1937. In April of 1958, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Elida Bernal. Alfredo enlisted in the Air Force in 1957 and was stationed in Camarillo, California. He and his wife relocated to Oxnard while he served in the Airforce from 1957 to 1961, they
decided to make Ventura County their home and raise their family. Alfredo was employed at ABEX Aerospace in Oxnard from 1961 until it closed in 1994. He was a phenomenal pitcher in his hometown and loved the game of baseball. He went on to volunteer as a coach in his community and taught his kids and grandkids the game of baseball. As a dedicated member of Santa Clara Chapel he volunteered regularly. His generosity and kindness was an inspiration and strength to many. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and papa to his family. Everything he did was for his family. He stayed strong in his faith till the end and now is at peace resting in the house of the Lord. He will be missed by many, but will forever live in our hearts. He leaves behind a legacy and many loving memories we will cherish forever. Alfredo is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel and Asencion Carrizales and sister Corina Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife Elida, children, Nora and David Cortez, Louis and Leslie Carrizales, Orlando (Bebe) and Leticia Carrizales, Yvonne and Jesus (Goose) Corral, his grandchildren Adrienne (Cesar), Brian (Sylvia), Brennan, Adonna, Alyssa, Cameron (Candice), Alyssa, Brandon, Jacob, Jocelyn and Jordan as well as his Great grandchildren Andrew, Isaiah and Phillip. Services for Alfredo V. Carrizales will be as follows: Rosary will be held at Santa Clara Chapel, 1333 E. Ventura Blvd., Oxnard, CA. 93036, on Tuesday, March 13 th at 6PM. The mass will be held at Santa Clara Chapel on, Wednesday, March 14 th at 10AM with interment following at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Rd., Camarillo, CA 93012.
