Agueda D. Murillo, 96 of Autlan, Jalisco Mexico, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 14, 2017, after a brief illness. Agueda (my mom) was a St. Valentine's baby having been born on February 14, 1921. She was a resident of Oxnard since 1956. She worked at Sunkist packing house and retired from there in 1984.My mom was an avid reader who would daily take her morning walk to the corner store to by her newspaper and pan dulce. She enjoyed traveling especially the summer road trips with her daughter, grandson, and great-grandson. Her favorite places to visit were Sea World, Cambria, Medieval Times, the circus, Solvang, Long Beach Aquarium, and Guadalajara.
My mom is survived by her daughters Martha E. Murillo that took care of her till her last breath and Estela Escamilla (Carlos), grandsons Ramon Torrez Jr and David Escamilla, great-grandson Ramon Alexander Torrez and son-in-law Ramon Torrez all of Oxnard. She is also survived by many relatives in Mexico.
My mom was a loving caring mother/grandmother who leaves each of us memories that we will cherish forever.
My mom is preceded in death by her daughter Bertha D. Torrez, her mother Maria de Jesus Contreras, and her husband Ignacio Murillo.
The tears in our eyes we can wipe away, the ache in our heart will always stay.
