Welcome to the memorial page for

Adeline M. Frazer

August 15, 1947 ~ September 17, 2019 (age 72) 72 Years Old

Sadly, our loving wife, mother, sister and dear friend, Adeline Marie “Addie/Lina” Frazer, passed away
on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Community Memorial Hospital, Ventura CA, due to complications of
diabetes and heart failure. She was 72.
Adeline was born August 15, 1947 in Oxnard CA and was a life-long resident of Oxnard. She attended
St. Anthony’s Grammar School and graduated from Santa Clara High School, Class of 1965. After
attending beauty school, she began her 25-year career as a hairdresser where she formed lasting
friendships with coworkers and with the many people who sat in her salon chair. After retiring from
hairdressing, she found great satisfaction in her employment with the Ventura County Senior Nutrition
Program, Meals on Wheels, providing services to seniors. And later, she especially enjoyed supervising
children as a school yard assistant at Fremont Middle School.
She considered meeting “the love of her life,” Francis “Frank” Frazer, as the luckiest day of her life. And
with their marriage on March 21, 1982, she happily became the mother of Julie and Tim. She relished
her role as a mother and she was very loving and caring and supportive, but firm. And she was thrilled
when she became grandmother to Angel, David, Amy and Matthew and great-grandmother to
Christopher.
She loved going on cruises with Frank and friends. Hawaii was her most favorite vacation destination
and prior to marrying Frank, her motto was “what happens in Hawaii, stays in Hawaii!” Lina loved to
entertain family and friends during the holidays, always serving lots of delicious food. And because of
her generous nature, no one ever left their home empty-handed.
Whether you remember Adeline from her younger days racing around town in her bright orange “Z,” or
joined her in her lively adventurous travels, or listened to her words of wisdom (she always told you the
truth as she saw it, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear) as she styled your hair, or if you sat
reminiscing with her during her illnesses and many stays in hospitals and care facilities, there were four
things that remained constant throughout her life and they were her strength of character, her loving
spirit, her sense of humor and her unfaltering courage, especially when facing insurmountable obstacles.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 37 years Francis “Frank” Frazer. Frank was her
constant companion and her primary caregiver in her years of declining health. She was the oldest of
four siblings and leaves behind brothers Art and Andy and sister Annette. She was preceded in death by
her brother Tony and her parents Angel and Hope Chaparro. She also leaves behind many other family
members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren and many life-long friends.
She will be dearly missed and will remain forever in our hearts.
Per her request, there will be no services held. True to her thoughtful nature and thinking of others,
she did not want to inconvenience anyone or have anyone incur any expense on her behalf. Your kind
thoughts and heartfelt prayers are all she requested

A private memorial service will take place on a later date. To attend this service please contact family members.
