Esther Laura Serrano

Esther Serrano of Ventura County, age 108, passed away November 30,2014 after a brief battle with illness. She was born April 6, 1906 and had been a resident of Oxnard for all her 108 years of life. She spent her days as a loving and caring housewife as well as a devoted Catholic at the Santa Clara Catholic Church. She loved reading and watching golf, such golfers as Tiger Woods whom she would never miss a tournament with him in it. She is survived by Barbara Almanra, Oxnard, CA: Ben Serrano Sr., Oxnard, CA. Esther had 7 children, 19 grand children, 41 great grand children 52 great great grand children, and 6 great great great grand children, With 6 generations living today.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Alex Serrano sr., Son Alex Serrano jr., daughters Margie Merril Isabel Cornejo, and grand son Alex Serrano III.
Rosary for Ester will be held at the Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. "A" St. Oxnard,CA 93030 On December 9th, Doors are open from 4 to 8pm with the rosary starting at 7pm. Mass on December 10th at the Santa Clara Church at 10am with the burial following at Santa Clara Cemetery. Esther is in the care of Reardon Funeral Home.
